Stonewall Democrats of Texas

Links to the 7 state chapters are found on the TSDC website, including those in Fort Worth, and Denton.  The "Stonewall Democrats" organization is the only "officially recognized " GLBT organization of the Texas Democratic Party and our statewide President and Vice President also serve on the State Democratic Executive Committee, which is the governing body of the Texas Democratic Party. While we are predominantly a GLBT organization, we have numerous heterosexual members and allies as well, and we are very "straight" friendly.

Texas Chapters include:

Austin, Central Texas, Dallas, Denton County, Tarrant County, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio

Log Cabin Republicans of Texas

Log Cabin Republicans is the nation’s original and largest organization representing gay conservatives and allies who support fairness, freedom, and equality for all Americans. Log Cabin Republicans have state and local chapters nationwide, full-time staff in Washington, DC, a federal political action committee, and state political action committees. Log Cabin Republicans work to make the Republican Party more inclusive, particularly on gay and lesbian issues.

Texas Chapters include:

Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio

DEFEND YOUR RIGHTS

Washington DC, and Austin are attempting to legislate against us & WE Must Resist. Speak up in support of rights for LGBT, Women, Immigrants, Black Lives, Working Poor, the Environment, & Education

American Civil Liberties Union of Texas continues our work to secure and protect civil rights for Texans throughout the state. We fight for smart criminal justice reforms,  unconstitutionally detained immigrants, racial equality, LGBT equality, students’ rights, and women’s rights.

Battleground Texas  is focused on expanding the electorate by registering more voters – and, as importantly, mobilizing those Texans who are already registered but who have not been engaged in the democratic process.

Equality Texas  is the largest statewide organization dedicated solely to securing full equality for LGBTQ Texans through political action, education, community organizing, and collaboration.

GALA North Texas  Celebrating diversity and enhancing equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer North Texans.

North Dallas Texas Democratic Women  Since 2002, NDTDW has been one of the leading Democratic clubs in Dallas, and most years, the largest chapter of the Texas Democratic Women. Our members have played key roles in electing Democrats, especially Democratic Women, in Dallas County.

Progress Texas  is a public relations shop promoting progressive ideals while also pushing back on bad policies and bad behavior from the right wing.

Focus issues: affordable health care, voting rights, LGBTQ rights, abortion access, fighting income inequality, marijuana policy reform, and accountability in government.

Texas Freedom Network TFN acts as the state’s watchdog for monitoring far-right issues, organizations, money and leaders. The organization has been instrumental in defeating initiatives backed by the religious right in Texas, including private school vouchers and textbook censorship at the State Board of Education.
